Carrie Sue Raborn, lovingly known as Sue, age 79, of Waco, Texas, passed away on October 11, 2026.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, to Wade Raiford and Willie Mae (Zampini) Laird. Sue lived a life filled with love for her family, an appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, and a special fondness for the treasures she discovered along the way.
Sue found her greatest joy in the people she loved. Her family was an important part of her life, and she leaves behind generations of loved ones who will carry her memory in their hearts. She had a special love for her cats and a passion for exploring estate sales, always enjoying the excitement of discovering a hidden treasure.
Sue is survived by her two daughters, Kim Dyer and husband Scott of College Station, Texas, and Kristy Stuver and husband Kerry of Tehuacana, Texas.
She was a proud grandmother to Tanner Chalfant and wife Kate of Midland, Texas; Morgan Riordan and husband Logan of Caldwell, Texas; Reagan Stuver of Wortham, Texas; and Kenlie Chasteen and husband Michael of Wortham, Texas.
Her legacy continues through her beloved great-grandchildren, Lillian Olivia and Gunner Maverick, with another precious great-grandson, Theo Graham, expected to arrive in January. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Judy Ryan; her special nephew, David Phillips and wife Erika of Austin, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Wade Raiford and Willie Mae (Zampini) Laird; her brother, Ray Laird; and her twin sister, Jodie Phillips.
While her family mourns her passing, they will forever cherish the memories made, the love shared, and the little pieces of Sue that will live on through each of them.
Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave and the memories she leaves behind will remain treasured gifts in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
