Connie Gamboa Vicinais, with family at her side, joined her Savior Sunday, August 28, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church with Deacon Garza officiating. Celebrant Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family invites you to a viewing and Rosary from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday August 31st at Connally Compton, 4400 West Waco Drive. Connie Gamboa the daughter of Eulogio Gamboa and Maria Guardoia Gamboa was born on July 16, 1929 in the Old Speegleville area. She was raised and lived for many years in Sandtown at 526 & 1100 South 1st Street. Connie began working at a very early age to assist the family; she worked in various capacities at Youngbloods and later as a seamstress at J.M. Woods. She was a longtime member of St. Francis Catholic Church and was a member of the Church Choir for many years. Connie met the love of her life Joe Vicinais and they were married on November 8, 1997. She was devoted daughter to her parents especially caring for her mother the final 14 years after her father died. Connie leaves to cherish her memory her Husband Joe Vicinais; brother, Domingo Gamboa and wife, Nina of Garland, Texas and sisters, Mary Villarrial and husband LoLo of McGregor, Texas and Julia Garza of Bellmead, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Acession Johnney Gamboa, Bernardo Gamboa, sisters, Adelida Gamboa; Mariana Martinez, Crecenciana Lucy Romo and Frances Gamboa Pallbearers will be Richard Gamboa; Lloyd Gamboa; Roy Duron; Michael Davis; Edward Drewry; Stewart Simon. The family wishes to thank devoted niece Mary Rodrigues for her love and continued care of Connie during her last year. Memorial may be made to St Francis Catholic Church.
