Mr. Carl Douglas Stobbe, 78, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 in Waco. Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 30, at 10:00 a.m. at Connally/Compton Chapel. Interment will follow in Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Carl was born January 25, 1939 to Carl August and Margaret (Lipka) Stobbe in Waco, Texas. He graduated from Waco High School in 1957. Carl served two years in the U. S. Army and two years in the Texas National Guard. He worked at Rocketdyne and for SCM Corporation before opening an office machine business which he owned and operated for 30 years. Carl was a member of the Civitan Club for several years. He was an avid fisherman, a member of the NRA and an avid gun collector. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carolyn Harris. Carl leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 54 years, Norma Stobbe of Waco; sister, Cindy Dale and husband, Gary of Waco; several nieces and nephews; his beloved four legged friend, Bossco and cats.
