Brenda Sue Bood Osterholtz, age 65, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2011 in Waco, Texas.Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Connally/ Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Joe Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 6, at the funeral home. Brenda was born on October 25, 1945 to Charles and Zelda Wood Bood in Mart, Texas. She was a resident of Crawford since 1983. Brenda graduated from Waco High in 1964 and married Gary Osterholtz on June 20, 1964. He preceded her in death in 2009. She was an active member of Speegleville Baptist Church where she was involved in Vacation Bible School. Brenda retired in 2003 from Waco Federal Credit Union where she served as Manager. Preceded her in death was her husband, Gary Osterholtz; parents, Charles and Zelda Wood Bood and step-father, Donald G. Thomas. Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Shauna and husband, Brannon Suggs of Waco; numerous family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the Humane Society.
