Billy Dalton Peace went home to Our Father on October 24, 2021. He passed away at age 93, in his home, after a valiant fight with cancer.
Billy was born in Paris, Texas on December 4, 1928. Billy served in the Army during wartime and became a Texas State Trooper in 1954. He proudly excelled in his career until retirement in 1992, then served our local community as a Bailiff for the McLennan County Courthouse from 1993 until 2020.
Mr. Peace was a loving and affectionate man, who is survived by his wife, Helen Peace, his son Britt Peace, daughter Sharon Reister, step-sons Christopher and Michael Whitehead, as well as 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at Connally Compton Funeral Directors on November 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in Billy's name be sent to the American Cancer Society.
