Billie McElroy, 83, of Waco died at her home on Friday, Jan. 28, 2005. Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Monday, January 31, 2005 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm Sunday at the funeral home.Billie Louise was born to Rufus and Montie Jones on Dec. 4, 1921 in Cranfills Gap. She was married to J. D. McElroy on Dec. 27, 1941. Billie was a member of Woodway United Methodist Church. She worked 35 yrs. as a bookkeeper for Cox's and was currently working at FUMC with Kids Kastle. She was an avid reader and had enjoyed going on several trips with her close friends.Preceding Billie in death were her husband; son, Dan McElroy; and parents.Surviving Billie are her daughter Lisa Hull and husband Don of Hewitt; grandchildren, Marra McElroy & Brianne Hull of Waco; and Ryan Hull of Hewitt; and sister, Finette Russell of Plano.
