Betty Alice (Baynes) Ables, 82, passed away in Temple, Texas May 13, 2014.Graveside Services will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, Texas.The Family will receive visitors from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday May 17, 2014 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors in Waco, Texas.Betty was born March 1, 1932 in El Paso, Texas to Leora (Bacon) and Lytt Baynes. She married resident engineer for the State of Texas, HM Ables, in Lubbock, February 3, 1950. Betty was the founder/ owner of Mesa Irrigation Distributors in Lamesa, Texas.She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 49 years, and son, Harold M. Ables.Survivors include her son, Chuck Ables, grandchildren, Misty Vandever, M.D., Christy Ables, Matthew Ables, Calvin Ables, Eric Ables, and Alicia Ables; six great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-laws, Lou Ables and Sandy (Womack) Shoopman.
