Bernice Chambers, 98, went to her heavenly Father on Saturday, May 3, 2014. She will be buried in Oakwood Cemetery.She was born in Elm Mott, Texas, daughter of the late Ludwig and Emma Jantz. She graduated from Waco High School. She married Joe B. Chambers and they remained joyfully united for 51 years until his death. She loved being a homemaker and residences included Waco, Texas, and Birmingham, Alabama. After retirement they returned to their beloved Texas and lived near Waco.Their son, Joe B. Chambers Jr.; brothers, Arthur Jantz and Elliott Jantz; sister, Lora Jantz Hawkins, predeceased her.Left to cherish her memory are her son, Thomas G. Hawkins and Pauline; daughter-in-law, Nancy S.
