Obituary

Beatrice "Nina" Rivera, 64, of Waco passed away on Wed., May 18, 2006 at a local hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Sat., May 20 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Lawrence Soler as celebrant. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will be Fri., May 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.Nina was born to Victor and Maria (Tristan) Fuentes Sr. here in Waco. She was married to Candido Rivera for 20 years. Nina loved to drink Big Red and play bingo at Circle Bingo where she was employed for 25 years.Preceding her in death are her parents; two sisters, Stella Fuentes and Virginia Espinoza; and two brothers, Albino and Johnny Fuentes.Nina leaves to cherish her memory four daughters; Sylvia Costilla of Waco, Cynthia Rivera of Waco, Francine Jones of Valley Mills and Christina Casiano of Helena, Montana; brothers and sisters, Carlotta Jimenez & husband John, Victor Fuentes Jr. & wife Mary Lou, Delores Riggins & husband Odie Sr., Edward "Lane" Fuentes & wife Gloria; grandchildren, Joshua Johns, Shawn Haines, Jadan & Jadah Sanders, Christine Casiano, Michael and Dannielle Jones, Christopher Jones, Richard Jones, David Jones, Margie Casiano, Sandra Casiano, Tony Casiano Jr. and Cynthia Casiano; six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and numerous friends.Pallbearers will be William Monrial, Jason Torres, John Gilbert Monrial, Jason Evans, Nicholas Fuentes and Jamico Fuentes.
