Basil A. DooleyMay 2, 1916 – July 30, 2010 Basil A. Dooley, 94, of Waco, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 2, 2010 at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Basil was born May 2, 1916 in Carlton, TX to William R. and Margaret E. (McAtee) Dooley. He was an Army veteran of WWII serving in the 104th Infantry Division and in Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Evelyn Hope Dooley; 6 sisters; 4 brothers; and step-grandson, Jacob Pack. Those left behind to cherish Basil's memory are his loving wife, Ruth Dooley; daughter, Annetta Hughes; step-daughters, Judy Gunn and Renee French; grandson, Davis Collier and wife, Paula; step-grandson Ian Joslin; step-granddaughter, Caitlin Karie-Fenton and husband, John; great granddaughters, Diana Collier and Emily Collier; and step-great granddaughter, Brenna Karie-Fenton.
