Alicia Gamez, 70, passed on Sunday April 18th, 2021 in Waco Texas. Visitation will be held Friday April 23, 2021 from 6pm to 8pm at Connally Compton Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be also be held at 10 am Saturday morning, then procession will follow to Santa Cruz cemetery.
Family and friends will meet immediately after in The Sapphire Room at 416 Sapphire Blvd Hewitt Texas.
Alicia was born on June 19, 1950 in Waco Texas to Geronimo Gamez and Josephine Chavez. She was educated in Waco Texas, where she received a high school diploma, and later received her Bachelor's degree for business Administration from University of Phoenix. She raised her family in Waco, later moving to Aurora Colorado. She worked as a bookkeeper and office manager at Lawns of Texas.
Her greatest enjoyment was her family, her dog Max, college basketball and football, lunches with her friends, and crocheting baby caps for the NICU preemie babies. Alicia Gamez was preceded in death by her Parents and Brother Geronimo Gamez Jr. She is survived by her Sons; Archie Torres III and Dennis Arocha; Daughter, Michelle Torres; Sister, Margie Hubbard; brother, Charles Gamez; Aunt, Mary Chavez Garcia as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be grandson, nephews and friends
