Alberta Z. Mata, 84, of Waco, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 21st at the funeral home.Mrs. Mata was born on April 23, 1931 in Cameron, Texas. She loved to play bingo and cook but her true love was her family; she was a very loving mother. Mrs. Mata was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Ignacio Mata and a son; Joe Mata.Survivors include her son; Ruben Z. Mata of Waco, grandson; Joe Mata, Jr. of Waco and several nieces and nephews.
