Agnes Mary SalomeNovember 8, 1914 ~ July 20, 2009 Agnes Salome, 94, of Waco, passed away Monday, July 20, 2009 at a local retirement center. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m., Friday, July 24, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with the Rev. Irudayaraj Nelapatti-Thomas as celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., Thursday, July 23, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. Agnes Mary Salome was born on Nov. 8, 1914 to Lillie Abraham and Constantine Salome in Waco, Texas. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy then went to Baylor and got her master's degree in music. Agnes taught piano to students of all ages. She was a devout member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a choir member for many years. Preceding her in death were her parents; and sisters, Amolina, Rosemary, Helen Louise and Audrey. Although Agnes never married, she had the love of her nephews, Albert Graser and wife, Nanzi of McGregor, David Graser and wife, Molly of Port Neches, Paul Graser of Waco, Edward Graser and wife, Donna of Houston, John Graser and wife, Melissa of Canyon, Michael Groman of Waco, David Groman of Waco, Christopher Groman of Waco, Ervin Rohde and wife, Margie of Sweeny, Bernard Rohde and wife, Cathy of Coppell who survive her; also her niece, Jane and husband, Terry Henley of Stafford; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. We would like to especially thank Ridgecrest Retirement Center and Bluebonnet Hospice for their wonderful loving care of our aunt.
